Dear Earthies,

Writing and recording A Sense of Place has been a true journey. You will find a fresh new collection of songs here, including:

• a few that will get you up and dancing (Detour Road, Jingle Your Heart, If You Need a Chair)
• some that perhaps touch your heart and tear ducts (Only One, All That’s Gold)
• a tribute to loved ones who have passed on (A Life Well Lived)
• a jazzy new Christmas bonus track to sing to everyone you love (Jingle Your Heart)
• an historic tribute to an iconic roadway (Blue Ridge Parkway/Ribbon of Stone)
• a haunting vocal from the late, great Keith Palmer, singing for our Mother (Only One)
• a fun and funny reggae song destined to be a picture book, extolling the virtues of local foods, local economy and building community (If You Need a Chair)
• a tribute to a feathered friend and sense of place (To an Oriole)

All are beautiful heartfelt arrangements played by some of the finest recording musicians currently available. The recycled packaging shows off the inspiring artwork.

I’m writing in more detail some of the personal stories of the how each of these songs and some of the musicians became central to A Sense of Place.  First chapter posted now at  Green Sustainable Blog  explains the title and overview.
